Aleksandra Szczęsna is a Polish film producer and fixer with over ten years of experience in international documentary production. She is a graduate of the London School of Economics and the Polish National Film School in Łódź.

 

Starting off as an assistant to Simon Chinn in London, producer of Oscar-winning landmark documentaries such as “Searching for Sugar Man” and “Man on Wire”, Aleksandra started working her way up from there. Today Aleksandra has a documentary career spanning 10 years of work. She has been a production coordinator and production manager for leading British documentary production companies including Lightbox, Passion Pictures, and Ventureland. Her credits include “Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story” (BAFTA winner), “Beckham”, “The Deepest Breath”, and “Rising Phoenix” (Emmy winners).

 

In 2022, Aleksandra moved to Poland and founded her own company - Hasko Film. Her debut feature documentary as lead producer, "Point Zero" by Piotr Bernaś, premiered at the Warsaw Film Festival in 2025. She is currently in development with three other feature documentaries funded by the Polish Film Institute.

 

Through her company, Aleksandra also provides production service / fixing in Poland, most recently collaborating on a documentary directed by Oscar winner Asif Kapadia.​
